SOFA made a trip to Skyline Paintball in Strasburg, VA to show off some manliness. Some of us already knew each other and some were meeting for the first time. Except for maybe one of us, nobody had ever been paintballing before. We hooked a Groupon (SOFA membership has its privileges!) and decided to show off our sharpshooting skills by blasting each other with paint. Did you see The Expendables with Stallone? That was pretty much us, except our guns only shot paint.

We all opted to go with out pads, but that was only because we didn't know we needed pads and no one brought any. That's me on the right trying to eek out a smile despite the welts on my butt.

Amazon Customer Service ROCKS!

Ok, so I just bought my wife an Amazon Kindle 3G. No less than 24 hrs after receiving it in the mail, she knocks it off a picnic table and all of a sudden there are black streaks on the screen. WTF? So I start thinking what to do about it. Should I call Amazon and claim it was broken when I received in the mail? I mean, that's what any normal guy would do right?

I called Amazon and when asked if I received the Kindle in damaged condition....I wussed out. I said, "Ummmm...well...not exactly. I'm not really sure what happened." So the nice Amazon lady pulls up my account, and without me even asking she says "What we'll do is ship you a brand spanking new one and you can return the broken one to us". Uhhhh...sweet! And 2 days later I had a new Kindle. That stuff never happens to me. Kudos to Amazon for a hassle-free replacement.

Oh, and if you do decide to buy your wife (or yourself) a Kindle, invest in one of the covers shown below. You'll be glad you did.
