Frazier says: Okay - here's the run down. We're putting week 12 into the books with one game TCTC (that's how the kids on the street say "Too close to call"). Can Michael Crabtree produce 17 points to help the Finger Pullers stink up the Cabbage tonight? Time will tell..
But for the rest of us, it's time to look to Week 13, the final week.
That Attack Rabbits queried whether 6-7 will get them to the post season. Marty answered correctly, "No". The Attack Rabbits and Blowout Preventers need to start warming up the hot cocoa; it's going to be a long off season. They do however get to battle it out for bragg...consolat...a meaningless game next week. This season has got to be a wistful one for the Rabbits - they were a force every week but, as President William Henry Harrison put it, " I'd rather be lucky than good".
For the rest of us, wow, "Parity thy name is SOFA".
Frazier says: Despite losing to Smell the Glove (and narrowly missing losing twice to the Tulips - just thought I'd throw that in there), Neil Diamond Fan Club will hold onto undisputed Number 1 (at 8-4)
Skinz4NEVAR (see what I did there?) drops down into a 3 way tie for 2nd place with Smell the Glove, Willys, and either Tropical Cabbage or Pull My Finger (at 7-5).
Running Down your Team (oh how the Marty has fallen!) drops down into the very definition of ignominy - a TIE with the Tulips (and either the Cabbage or the Fingerers) at 6-6.
Frazier says: Only 6 teams will advance to the playoffs and the SOFA schedule makers did a fantastic job setting up matchups for the last week of the season:
1) Smell the Glove (7-5) battles The Tulips (6-6)
2) Tropical Cabbage (7-5 or 6-6) will battle the 6-6 Running Down Your Team
3) Willys (7-5) try to unseat the 8-4 NDFC
4) Skinz4Evar (7-5) go up against the (7-5 or 6-6) Pull my Finger
NDFC is in.
8-5 will get you into the playoffs. 7-6 will get you into a scrum.
Everything else comes down to the last week and the total points scored.
Gentlemen - start your engines.
